Celebrating National Negroni Week with WA Spirits
The Negroni is one of the world’s most iconic cocktails. Traditionally, it’s equal parts Campari, gin, and sweet vermouth – all imported, all from overseas. Bitter, bold, and red as it comes.
But at Beyond, we like to do things differently. Instead of pouring in bottles from Italy, we asked ourselves: what if we built a Negroni from the ground up, using ingredients grown right here in WA?
We created our own bitter-sweet backbone – Beyond Orange Amaro – distilled with local South West oranges, cherrywood, and botanicals sourced within 50km of the distillery. It carries the bitterness of Campari and the sweetness of red vermouth, all rolled into one, layered with citrus and spice that’s distinctly WA.
Paired with our bold, citrus-forward X17 Gin, and bang, there's your negroni.
Beyond Negroni
Recipe:
30mL Beyond X17 Gin
30mL Beyond Orange Amaro
Stir down over ice, strain, and garnish with orange peel.
