Beyond’s 100 Ton Gin — Supporting Blue Whale Research
Every bottle we make has a story — but this one carries a cause as well.
Crafted in proud partnership with @bluewhaleproject.oz, this limited-edition gin is more than just a drink. It’s a cause in a bottle. For every one sold, $25 goes directly to Geographe Marine Research, funding vital studies into the majestic blue whales that glide through the waters of Geographe Bay each year.
These gentle giants are the largest on Earth — tipping the scales at up to 100 tons (hence the name). And while they’re awe-inspiring to watch, there’s still so much we don’t know about their migration patterns and behaviours. Every bottle of 100 Ton Gin helps fill in the blanks and protect these endangered creatures for generations to come.
Crafted With Purpose. Distilled for a Cause.
From grain to glass, 100 Ton Gin is made right here in WA, with ingredients that tell a coastal story:
🌊 Indian Ocean sea water – giving the spirit its distinct saline backbone.
🌲 Busselton pine needles – a nod to our backyard, adding resinous lift.
🌿 Peppermint tree & saltbush – herbaceous, earthy, and distinctly West Aussie.
🍊 Local oranges – bringing a citrus brightness that ties it all together.
🍇 Margaret River wine base – low food miles, pure WA provenance.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, you’ll find fresh mint and herbaceous lift, balanced by savoury spice. The palate is soft and rounded, with citrus brightness leading into a long, rich, lingering finish. A spirit that feels like the ocean breeze in your glass.
Did You Know? 🐋
The blue whale is the largest mammal on Earth
They were nearly wiped out by industrial whaling
At one point, it’s estimated that only 500 blue whales remained worldwide
Today, Geographe Bay is one of the few places on the planet where these majestic giants pass close to shore, making the South West a critical stop on their migration.
As a South West distillery, we feel a responsibility to protect the region we call home
By supporting Geographe Marine Research, we’re helping ensure the future of blue whales in WA waters.
Why It Matters
This gin isn’t just about flavour. It’s about impact. By pouring yourself a G&T, you’re also pouring into the future of marine research. The money raised supports the dedicated volunteers studying blue whales in Geographe Bay — helping to ensure these endangered animals remain part of WA’s coastal story.
So next time you raise a glass of 100 Ton Gin, know you’re toasting more than good company. You’re toasting the ocean’s most extraordinary creatures. 🐋💙
