Beyond at A Table Somewhere on Rottnest

Event description

Beyond has partnered to launch a long table event on Rottnest this summer.  You can join the event on Perth’s island paradise Wadjemup / Rottnest Island. For two nights only Wadjemup will be the host location for a unique Australian culinary experience – A Table Somewhere: Wadjemup.

Starring alongside the turquoise waters and white sand beaches of picturesque Parakeet Bay will be Australian culinary icon Matt Moran and celebrated West Australian chef Brendan Pratt, who has been enlisted to curate the menu for the inaugural immersive dining event.

Unlike any culinary event ever staged before on the island, this new dining series will celebrate West Australian produce whilst deeply immersing guests into the place and land where the event is staged.

Presented by the team behind iconic West Australian destination events including Shore Leave Festival’s Abrolhos Long Table Lunch and Shinju Matsuri’s Sunset Long Table Dinner on Cable Beach, Wadjemup was a natural choice for the inaugural A Table Somewhere due to its stunning natural environment and abundance of native ingredients to draw inspiration from.

Hosted during the Noongar season of Bunuru - the season known for fishing and hunting, and cooling afternoon breezes to provide relief to warm days – high-profile chefs will collaborate under the guidance of First Nations advisors to deliver a truly unique dining experience on the island.

A Table Somewhere is all about relaxed long table dinners in places that surprise and delight. Guests can expect great food, wonderful company, gorgeous settings and touches of the unexpected. The inaugural event A Table Somewhere: Wadjemup / Rottnest Island will take place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd March 2024, inviting guests to sink their feet into the sand, soak up the stunning views and enjoy the finest Western Australian ingredients prepared by world class chefs. Tickets include return ferry services with Sealink, event transfers, premium food experience with beverages from Vasse Felix wines, Beyond Distilling and beer from Dingo Brewing Company.

Complimentary shuttle buses will transport guests from the Settlement Main Bus Stop to the dining destination, buses depart at 3.45pm and return at 9pm to the same location.

Included in the ticket is a return trip via Sealink Ferry departing Fremantle Wharf, B Shed.

The ferry returning to Fremantle will depart Rottnest Wharf at 9.30pm prompt, guests are encouraged to board the ferry no later than 10 minutes to departure.

Please be aware that this is the last service, if you miss the ferry, we are unable to provide alternative transportation home from the island.
